the egg-layers

williamstown theatre festival 2009

a fantastical and fragmented rewriting of the leda myth about the need to find a god that looks just like us.  inspired by a bake-off assignment from paula vogel and further developed with the actors over four weeks of rehearsal.  polar bears, swans, stripping to the black eyed peas, neverending story quest montages, birthings of all sorts of objects (and people)(and eggs), and the search for healing.
